5k race in Woodlands, Texas for spring fun

Spring 5k and family egg hunt activities for all ages

The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is set to host the annual Run and Done 3.1 5K on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 7 to 9 a.m. along the scenic The Woodlands Waterway, starting at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive.

This chip-timed 5K course offers participants a picturesque route through the Waterway district, fostering a fun and energizing atmosphere. The event is USA Track & Field (USATF) sanctioned and welcomes runners of all abilities, with a recommended minimum age of 10.

Runners will compete for awards in various categories, including overall male and female finishers, as well as first and second place in male and female age groups. While there won't be a formal awards ceremony, winners can collect their awards onsite and capture the moment at the event's designated photo area.

Following the race, the excitement continues at Town Green Park with a family-friendly egg hunt starting at 8 a.m. Registered runners are encouraged to bring their guests to join the hunt, which will continue while supplies last. Egg hunt participants must be accompanied by a registered athlete wearing a race bib, and should bring their own baskets or buckets.

Registration for the Run and Done 3.1 5K is $35, which includes a finisher medal and participant packet. Participant shirts will be available for purchase for $20 during packet pickup at The Woodlands Township Town Hall on April 1 and April 2, and on race day while supplies last. Shirts are available in limited quantities, ranging from Youth Large to Adult 2XL. A course map, including available parking locations, is available online. Please note that race day registration will not be available.

Participants are encouraged to sign up for text alerts by texting RUNANDDONE26 to 877-949-3956 to receive updates, delays, or important race information. Event updates will also be posted on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page. For additional information about the Run and Done 3.1 5K, contact races@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov.
