The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services is hosting a Shred Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, located at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive.

This event offers residents a secure, contactless method to dispose of sensitive documents such as bank statements, medical records, credit card offers, and old tax forms.

Properly shredding these materials helps reduce the risk of identity theft and fraud.

Additionally, eliminating unnecessary paperwork can declutter homes and decrease potential fire hazards associated with storing excessive paper.

Participants can remain in their vehicles while personnel collect and shred documents on-site.

Attendees are encouraged to contribute to a worthy cause by donating five non-perishable food items or $5 per box of documents.

All donations will directly benefit the Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry.

For more information about this event and other crime prevention programs, please contact The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services at 281-210-3882 or email Neighbor@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov.

Looking ahead, the next Shred Day is scheduled for November 14, 2026, at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.

Take advantage of this opportunity to protect your personal information, support a local cause, and keep your home organized.

Gather your documents, invite a neighbor, and participate in this valuable community service.
