Capture the Back-to-School Spirit at Market Street's Photo Opportunity |
Celebrate the new school year with themed photos and community events in The Woodlands |
As summer draws to a close, families in The Woodlands are gearing up for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
To commemorate this transition, Market Street is offering a special back-to-school photo opportunity from August 7 to August 13.
Located beneath the Market Street marquee, this themed setup provides the perfect backdrop for parents and students to capture memorable moments as they prepare for the new academic year.
In addition to the photo opportunity, Market Street is collaborating with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to host a "Summer Send-Off" event on Tuesday, August 12, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in Central Park.
This free community gathering will feature "Staging Stories Live," an interactive dance theater performance that engages the audience through dynamic storytelling.
Attendees can also explore The Pavilion’s Instrument Petting Zoo, offering a hands-on experience with various musical instruments.
Young guests will have the opportunity to create their own dance ribbon wands, adding a personal touch to the festivities.
These back-to-school activities coincide with Texas' Tax-Free Weekend, scheduled for August 8-10, allowing families to shop for school essentials without the added sales tax.
Beyond Market Street, The Woodlands offers a variety of events to celebrate the end of summer.
On August 7, families can enjoy a free outdoor screening of "Zootopia" at The Woodlands Mall's Movies on The Lawn series.
For music enthusiasts, the Rock the Row series continues on August 7 with a live performance by Flashpoint at Hughes Landing.
As the community prepares for the new school year, these events provide opportunities to create lasting memories and embrace the vibrant spirit of The Woodlands.
For more information on these events and others, residents are encouraged to visit local community calendars and official event listings. |
