The Woodlands, TX – The 40th annual Taste of the Town event, hosted by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, drew thousands of enthusiastic attendees to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center on January 29, 2026.

Over 40 local restaurants, caterers, and beverage companies showcased their culinary prowess, offering a diverse array of appetizers, entrées, desserts, and drinks.

The event's highlight was the annual restaurant competition, where establishments vied for top honors in various categories.

The 2026 'Best of Taste' winners were:

Best Appetizer: Goode Company Fish Camp

Best Entrée: The Capital Grille

Best Dessert: rise soufflé

People’s Choice Award: Lighthouse Catering

The 'People’s Choice' award was determined by attendee votes, reflecting the community's favorites.

The other categories were judged by a panel of esteemed culinary experts and local dignitaries.

Among the judges were Logan Baker, Team Chef for the Houston Astros; Ted Harris from The Woodlands Mall; Mayor Paul Bond of Oak Ridge North; and Stuart Barrett of Entergy Texas.

Their collective expertise ensured a fair and comprehensive evaluation of the culinary offerings.
